Weekend is approaching, we are fighting in between work mode or nap mode. I want to work but my coworker chose to nap 😴 💤 🙄
I have been learning to draw with limited colour palettes in traditional way. It seems less colours were used but it does not mean easier. I need to plan ahead the colour combinations, especially for the white areas. The biggest challenge of painting on paper (not on the tablet) is there is no "undo" button, the white has to be unpainted, if I made a wrong decision I have to repaint the whole piece. This piece was just my quick study so it is just fine if I made a mistake. Sometime I like the improvisation from my sketch, I see some surprises there!
After working with digital media for some time, it is so much fun to stretch my head to go back to traditional media. I love taking the challenge!
So happy I found my 8B pencil in my drawer, then I made a fun sketch when a bird was singing loud by the window this morning. :)
Just a little story inspired by my two little cats Sasha and Max.
I have never seen a cat who is such a real food lover! I think Sasha could be a food review writer in cat world. His favourite foods such sweet bean, corn, yogurt, bacon, chicken and many more. He was always curious to try all different kinds of food, he thinks nothing but only about the yummy foods all day long!
It is very sad that Sasha left me today, I miss him badly. It was a very painful and difficult decision to let him go, but he has no more suffering. I believe he is enjoying his life in heaven. He gave me lot of great memories which will continue to inspire me to draw.
My husband and I have owned two lovely Tonkinese cats, their names are Max and Sasha. They are two brothers from the same litter. Unfortunately they both have diagnosed lymphoma cancer in last December. Their life expectancy is from few weeks to few months, I know I am going to loose both of them soon. I am spending some good quality time with them and make sure they live as healthy as possible. In the meanwhile, I started drawing them in stories to recap all the memory they have brought to my life. The one below was my first attempt, I am happy to continue to draw their fun silly things. It is very comforting when I draw them out, I hope you do enjoy reading it too~
I recently created couple video with my art, here is the one I like to most so far! :)
I am so happy to become one of the artists at Oopsy Daisy. They just published my illustrations in Canvas Wall Art and Night Lights. This morning when I was having breakfast coffee in my garden, I saw a cat standing on a roof top at my neighbour's house. He looked at me and talked to me for 5 mins. I think he was asking me for breakfast.... : ) He attempted to jump down to my fence to come close to me, but it was little too high so he gave up. Here is my new neighbour friend - a pretty talkative guy~
